Set of 18th century Carved Stone Corinthian Sculptural Bases.
Great Garden Elements!
This intricately carved set of solid stone sculptural elements, made for use as the bases of columns or tables or to be stacked atop one another, date to the mid- to late-18th century, England. Their leafy, floral motif featuring rolled scrolls expanding outward at the top demonstrates classical Greek Corinthian design which gained a resurgence in popularity during the Age of Enlightenment, when contemporary Westerners developed a renewed appreciation for Greek innovation. They are in beautiful condition, and are ideal for indoor or outdoor use as sculptural elements added to your garden or walkway or stacked atop one another as the base of a table.
