Description
(6) Hand Carved Solid Stone Column Bases, Circa 1860 from India.
All six of these solid stone column bases were hand carved in India in 1860. Each one is unique and beautiful, and their impact as an arranged group is especially striking. You can display them indoors or out, regardless of the season. Many creative uses for these stones come to mind that could look perfect in the homes, gardens, and landscapes. In addition to serving as ornamentation they could mark the path from one area of a garden to another, with a candle resting in the depression atop each columb base for a flickering trail of light at night. They can be positioned to demarcate one section of a property from another, marking, for example, the end of the driveway or the perimiter of a small pond. And they make exquisite bases for sculptures of diverse sizes.
Each piece differs slightly, but the general dimensions are 26″ high x 11″ wide and deep
